Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By inviting the Chappie Discord application ("Chappie", "the Bot", "we", "us") to your Discord server or by interacting with it as a member of a server where it is installed, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, remove the Bot or stop using it.

2. Eligibility

You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. The Bot is not directed to children under 13. Server owners are responsible for compliance with applicable law in their jurisdiction.

3. Service description

Chappie provides moderation, leveling, conversational AI, image generation, and voice features inside Discord servers. AI inference is performed on the operator's local hardware unless explicitly configured otherwise.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use the Bot to harass, threaten, or harm others.
• Do not use the Bot to generate, request, or distribute content that sexually exploits minors, depicts non-consensual sexual content, or violates applicable law.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse rate limits, or interfere with the Bot's normal operation.
• Server admins are responsible for the use of the Bot within their servers, including configuration of moderation, custom commands, and AI features.

5. AI-generated content

Outputs produced by the Bot's language and image models are generated by machine learning systems and may be inaccurate, offensive, or infringe third-party rights. You are responsible for verifying suitability before using or redistributing AI-generated content. We do not warrant that AI outputs are free of errors, bias, or third-party claims.

6. Music playback

On the self-hosted tier and personal-server beta, Chappie may stream audio from third-party sources (e.g. YouTube). It is the operator's responsibility to comply with the relevant third-party terms. The hosted multi-tenant tier disables third-party music streaming.

7. Modifications and availability

The Bot is provided on an "as is" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may apply server-level rate limits or suspensions in response to abuse.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your server. We may revoke access to a server or user that violates these Terms.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Bot is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Bot.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date will reflect material changes. Continued use of the Bot after a change constitutes acceptance.
